The city of love, wine and wind

Cultural heritage and wine tourism. Guided by these criteria, many tourists choose to spend their spare time in Vojvodina.

Vrsac, a beautiful town - the words with which Jovan Sterija Popovic, a famous Serbian author, described his hometown still apply today. The city of love, wine and wind is a destination that will not leave you indifferent.

There, at the foot of the Vrsac Mountains, history, different cultures and picturesque natural beauties intertwine. Vrsac is one of the oldest Banat towns, known for its specific climate and clean air. You can hardly avoid the winds since there are more than 200 windy days a year.

There‘s a chance to avoid the wind, but you cannot skip learning new things and artistic adventure, since this city abounds in churches, cultural institutions and buildings of different styles, where each building has its own specific story. The symbol of the city is the Vrsac Tower, and there is also the Bishop's Palace, Sterija's House, or one of the 6 museums that will complete your autumn walk through the culture of the north.

At the end of the walk under the snowflakes, you should warm-up. This area is known for its long tradition of growing vines and producing quality wine. Let the winds carry you to Vrsac this winter.
