Imagine being startled by noisy herons and seagulls while having coffee by the lake. That is exactly what awaits you at Palić Lake about 9 km from Subotica.

Did you know that otters and bats are protected species in Palić? A large number of birds nest on the so-called birds' islands which are, for example, the only area in Serbia where Black-Headed Gulls build their homes. There are also 31 trees of the protected oak species that kids are always thrilled about.

Palić is not just about nature since its spa began to emerge in the mid-19th century and got its first Hungarian-styled objects at the beginning of the 20th century. The lake is adorned with a Grand Terrace to soak up the sun and a Music Pavillion but is also the place that hosts the International Film Festival.

You may be among visitors who will rent bikes with kids and take a ride to Subotica to see its stunning architecture or those who prefer resting on the shore and fishing with children. Either way, you will have lots of fun.
