DISCOVER SPRINGS AND DEVIL’S WATER

The month of June is the time when summer begins. It is a perfect time to make an introduction in your Serbian vacation later in the summer. Treat yourself to an excursion to some of the places our country is proud of.

Taorska Vrela (Taor Springs) is a natural monument that adorns the foothill of Povlen Mountain. Its source is in Donji Taor village after it flows into Skrapež and Zapadna Morava. You’ll feel its power as soon as you come near the water flow. It is easily accessible from Lelić and Mravinjac.

This is the place where 12 watermills once stood. The water now cascades over limestone baths flowing down and creating the 4.5-meter waterfall. You’ll get the chills feeling a fresh breeze following the water down through the dense forest.

Find out why Đavolja Varoš near Kuršlumlija is a mystical place. Not only is it decorated with particular phenomena shaped by nature but also houses two mineral water springs. According to legend, the devil was not happy that locals believed in god and tempted them with the so-called ‘devil’s water’. When you come here, it won’t be hard to imagine a fairy who stepped in to help the people. You’ll also find out what these soil shapes represent.
