JOY OF EUROPE INTERNATIONAL GATHERING OF CHILDREN OF EUROPE

“Joy of Europe” is the largest and oldest event dedicated to children’s creativity in Serbia. The idea for the festival was born back in 1968, following a visit by the Swedish Boys’ Choir to Belgrade. Since then, the festival has been held annually, bringing together children from across Europe who, through song and dance, present the culture and traditions of their home countries. This also includes participation in the International Art Contest “Joy of Europe.” Eligible participants for the contest include children’s art schools, cultural centers, studios, clubs, or ensembles—particularly those groups that have achieved notable results at national or international competitions, festivals, and contests—and that are registered outside the territory of the Republic of Serbia. These groups are expected to present the culture of their respective countries. Each visiting group may include up to 15 child participants, aged 7 to 14, accompanied by 2 adult group leaders.
