The walls of Niš Fortress are accustomed to good music. Jazz lovers are also accustomed to booking a jazz vacation in August at Nashville Jazz Festival, the most visited festival in the Southeast Europe.

Since its foundation in 1995, the festival nurtures the finest musical taste and preserves the European face of Niš. This year, the city will become the capital of jazz from 5 to 14 August. In addition to the best musicians and vocalists, visitors will be able to enjoy theater as well. The now traditional Nashville Jazz Theater will host 17 plays from Europe and America.

During the ten days of the festival, 250 performances will take place on 15 stages, counting around 850 performers. The program is ready, the artists impatiently waiting for their appearance, and the audience, it seems, is already taking their seats.

This year too, Nishville plans to preserve the tradition of the jazz art center and to send a strong message of unity in art, rhythm and energy to the world. Proud of this event, Niš is ready to take visitors to a more thorough introduction to the city, its history, surroundings, and all tourist attractions.
