You will enjoy the full experience of fine dining if you order the tasting menu.
Fine dining, an even finer experience
To briefly explain what fine dining is, it might be easiest to say that it is a fantasy for the palate. But food is not the only thing that makes haute gastronomy! All other segments are equally important. Along with top quality food and a careful selection of drinks, the service in a fine dining restaurant is impeccable and often includes a table setting that we only see in movies, with transparent wine glasses, quality cutlery and perfectly ironed tablecloths, along with soft music and perfect ambience.
The concept of fine dining was born in Paris after the French Revolution, when the famous hotelier Ritz and the famous chef Escoffier teamed up and offered guests both luxurious accommodation and fine food under one roof. You will enjoy the full experience of fine dining if you order the tasting menu and the number of courses can vary from three to twenty or more. Fine dining implies both refined and rare premium foods and traditional and accessible ones interpreted with innovative culinary techniques. The creativity of the chef in that case is of crucial importance! Serbia and especially its capital Belgrade have a developed fine dining restaurant scene that attracts foodies from all over the world. The chefs’ masterful creations border on works of art – authentic dishes created using the top-quality natural ingredients that Serbia has in abundance!

The most wanted yellow guide.
Gault & Millau
The influential international restaurant guide Gault & Millau was founded in France in 1972 and Serbia has had its own edition of this famous yellow guide since last year. Seven inspectors who did their work completely anonymously were responsible for evaluating the Serbian gastronomic offer. In addition to restaurants from Subotica to Vranje, the guide also includes selected winemakers, producers of local delicacies, brewers and selected brandies. The ratings of restaurants in the Gault & Millau guide are expressed on a scale from 1 to 20, i.e. 1 to 5 chef’s hats, and the judges primarily rate the quality of the food and the chef and his or her cooking, also adding impressions of the service, prices and atmosphere to the total rating. This useful guide will help you easily find your favourites on the gastronomic map of Serbia.
Michelin Guide
The long-awaited first edition of the famous Michelin Guide for Belgrade was launched in 2021 and it immediately included no less than 12 Belgrade restaurants that deserved a recommendation. The subsequent edition saw that number increase and connoisseurs are sure that the first big stars are waiting for us in the coming years! The Michelin inspectors are completely anonymous and the scoring is very strict. Their recommendation stands for outstanding, well-cooked food and excellent service. One Michelin star indicates first-class food, worth a stop during a trip, two stars means outstanding food that you might make a detour for, while the maximum of three stars are reserved for restaurants that could make you plan a separate trip. The first Michelin Guide was published in 1900. The tyre manufacturing company, at a time when there were only 300 cars in France, wanted to encourage a new kind of road travel and the French were then, as now, the easiest to approach through gastronomy. Today, this guide is the most respected authority on gastronomy and hospitality in the world.
