ČIVIJADA - FAIR OF HUMOR AND SATIRE

This event nurtures the original humor of the people of this region. “Čivijada” reflects the spirit of the people of Šabac and their readiness for jokes and pranks, both at the expense of others and at their own expense. The modern “Čivijada” has several program contents: an exhibition of caricatures, the International Chivija Carnival, the promotion of the newspaper „Chivija“, and of course the election for the Prime Minister of the “Čivija Republic“. Every year, a prize competition is also announced for the best aphorisms, satirical stories and caricatures. All these programs attract great attention from citizens and tourists, and everyone is especially interested in who the new „president“ will be.
