Song, dance, friendship, understanding for other and diverse, children's creations - these are all synonyms for the international festival of the children of Europe "Joy of Europe", gathering children and youth, age 7 - 14. This traditional event is held annually in Belgrade ever since 1969, on the occasion of the World Children's Week.

The genre of animated film is one of the most communicative forms of interaction among people. It reaches and penetrates the consciousness of viewers of all ages equally well, transmitting, without much fuss and without committing violence over the minds of people, messages of great importance for the future of this heated up and turbulent planet. Animation as an art form is separated from the corpus of cinematography because of its special technology, philosophical approach, and the subjects it deals with, and through the forming of new aesthetical norms, it has received, according to the opinions of some theoreticians, the well deserved epithet of the Eight Art Form.

The Festival of Traditional Craft and Artistic Skills has been held throughout Serbia every year since October 1972. The goal of the manifestation is to preserve and help develop indigenous creations in Serbia (dance, music, customs) among village amateur groups and cultural and artistic societies.

This is one of the most famous Vojvodina region events with the competition of the producers of the heaviest and longest pumpkin (ludaja), followed with the rich cultural programme.

The Film Festival Bdenje duše“ (Soul’s Wake) is intended to primarily be a documentary and short film festival which showcases films that deal with the broad subject of Serbian history, culture and spirituality. Those subgenres include films about the history and state of Serbia, portraits of interesting personalities, films dealing with archaeology, ethnology, art history, contemporary art, tradition, ecology, sport, natural beauty of the country etc.

The concept of the Festival aims to encourage and inspire wide audience, anthropologists and filmmakers to contribute to impact and use of ethnographic film.
